I would like to start out by saying that I hope that we can have an effective and honest discussion about why we should rely TOTALLY on the Qur'an. O Prophet, you are not responsible for their guidance, it is Allah Who guides whom He pleases. Whatever wealth you spend in charity, it is to your own advantage; provided you give to seek the pleasure of Allah. Whatever wealth you spend for the sake of Allah, will be paid back to you in full, and you will not be wronged. 2:272

Now if they give no heed, they should know that We have not sent you, O Muhammad, to be their keeper. Your only duty is to convey My message. But there are among men those who purchase ****less hadith without knowledge (or meaning) to mislead (men) from the Path of Allah and throw ridicule (on the Path): for such there will be a humiliating Penalty. 31:6

Are these verses not clear? Should I not follow the verbatim words of Allah?
